In light of the need to prevent oneself and others from the COVID-19 pandemic, many restrictions and controls have had to be exercised in different areas. This includes immigration-related services and events.

The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is one such area that has been affected by these rescheduling and adjustments prompted by COVID-19. Many SAT testing dates have been canceled and pushed candidates to resort to patiently wait for the next opportunity.

When there is a cancellation or postponement happening for your SAT exam, the candidate needs to first understand that it must have been done to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus by avoiding any problems in ensuring preventive measures like social distancing.

Some of the important information you need to know about SAT cancellations are listed here:

  • As colleges are updated about revised, canceled, or delayed SAT test dates you should be in constant touch with them to learn about the latest changes and changes to their application processes.
  • There are no fees to reschedule.
  • Rescheduling your SAT testing date must be done yourself. Automatic rescheduling for a later testing date isn’t available.

It takes a planned approach to study for the SAT through test cancellations. Here are a few guidelines:

  • Take breaks between study sessions to avoid burnout from constant practice. It will always be refreshing to come back into practice after taking a break.
  • Have a daily routine to stick to. Suggested practices in this regard are:
    • Reach out to friends and loved ones more often.
    • Take breaks from watching the news or reading even if you are trying to stay informed.
    • Take time to engage in an activity that is enjoyable to you or that relaxes you.
    • Set timers for test preparation and other responsibilities and take breaks regularly.
    • Get some exercise.
    • Eat a healthy breakfast and have meals at consistent timings.
    • Be consistent with your bedtime and time to wake up.
  • Prepare for SAT and do SAT coaching as if the college is still functioning. Keep the excitement to learn alive.

With these in mind, you can get through the SAT test cancellations with relative ease.
