12 jobs in high demand in Alberta due to COVID-19

Certain occupations in the labour market in Alberta are reporting an increase in demand in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A study by the Canadian government highlights the jobs in Alberta that have actually increased in demand during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While some occupations had been negatively impacted by the pandemic, others had either remained the same or registered an increase in demand.

In flux, the job outlook in Alberta for a prospective migrant is a constantly evolving situation.

As of July 29, 2021, around 65% of eligible Albertans had received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. 75.8% of eligible Albertans had received at least 1 dose of the vaccine.

Alberta remains above the national average for full COVID-19 vaccinations, with a higher percentage of individuals fully vaccinated as compared to Germany, France, the United States, among others.

So far in 2021, Alberta PNP has invited a total of 2,613 Canada immigration hopefuls to apply for a PNP nomination for permanent residence in Canada through the province.
