If you want to apply for a British student visa, make sure you meet certain requirements.

Firstly, you need to apply for a Tier 4 student visa. But before you do that, note that you should provide adequate supporting documents to the visa application centre to be eligible.

You need to have been admitted into a course in the UK.

You need to write, read, understand and speak in English.

You have to provide evidence that you have enough money to support yourself while you study there.

It is always advisable to apply early as you can to make sure that your visa application is not delayed owing to unforeseen situations.

It would be better if you apply three months before the start of you course, suggests Study International. Make sure to check visa processing times for your country, though a decision on your visa is would normally be taken within three weeks.

You need to pay visa fees of £328 for yourself and £328 each for a dependent, in case a family member accompanies you. In addition, health surcharge would also be charged.

Ensure not to violate any rules.

If the duration of your course is six months or lees, you can land in Britain a week before. If the duration of your course is over six months, you need to land there a month before.
