Best countries Indians can travel to without a Visa

Applying for and successfully obtaining a Visa can often be stressful. Travelling abroad can be much easier if you do not need to worry about a Visa.

As per the Henley Passport Index, India ranks 84th on the list of the most powerful passports in the world. Indian passport holders can travel to 58 countries without a visa or get a visa on arrival.

Here are the best countries that Indians can travel to without a Visa:

1. Mauritius- No Visa:

Mauritius is an island country located in the Indian Ocean. It is extremely popular for its stunning beaches, reefs and lagoons. The most favourable time to travel to Mauritius is between December and February. The country is extremely popular among diving and snorkelling enthusiasts. 2. Jamaica- No Visa:

The Carribean island country is well known for its beautiful beaches, mountains and rainforests. If you enjoy diving and snorkelling, it is an excellent country to visit. The best time to visit Jamaica is between December and April.

3. Bhutan- No Visa:

Bhutan is known to be one of the happiest countries in the world based on their Gross Happiness Index. India’s neighbouring country is a great holiday spot to explore beautiful landscape and wildlife. Some of the places that one should not miss while visiting Bhutan are Punakha Dzong, Rinpung Dzong and Paro Taktsang. The best time to visit is March and April which also happens to be the blooming season for rhododendrons.

4. Fiji- No Visa:

6. Sri Lanka- No Visa but special permit required:

Sri Lanka has extended the free Visa on arrival facility for Indians till 30th April. Vast, sandy beaches, dense rainforests and beautiful landscapes are some of the major attractions of Sri Lanka. The best time to visit the country is between December and April.

7. Maldives-Visa on arrival:

The Maldives comprises of more than 3,000 coral islands, extensive reefs and blue lagoons. The best time to visit is between December and April when the weather is less humid.

8. Thailand- Visa on arrival:

Thailand is one of the most popular destinations among Indian travellers. Some noteworthy attractions to visit are Wat Pho, Wat Arun, and the Emerald Buddha Temple.

9. Indonesia- Visa on arrival:

Indonesia is a country made up of many volcanic islands and well known for its wildlife, especially Komodo dragons and elephants. The best time to visit would be June and July when you can also attend the Bali Arts Festival.

10. Madagascar- Visa on arrival:

Madagascar is extremely popular among wildlife enthusiasts. It is also well known for the national parks of Isalo and Andasibe-Mantadia. The best time to visit is between July and August.
