The Summer Olympics 2016 is going to take place in Brazil this year, to which the country is gearing up to witness a huge expanse in tourism within its borders. Brazil’s Ministry of Tourism and the Brazilian Tourist Board have issued an information sheet detailing the nation’s new visa waiver program for the time period. With the intention to start on the 1st of June, the project will simplify visitor access to Brazil for a huge number of travellers going to the 2016 Summer Olympic Games which is due to take place in Rio de Janiero from the 5th of August up till the 21st. Currently residents of Canada, Australia, Japan, and the United States, all generally required to acquire visas to go to Brazil will not need to for the particular time period as Brazil’s Minister of Tourism Henrique Alves has expressed. The visa waiver system will permit residents from these four countries to go to Brazil visa free.

The elimination from the visa condition is legitimate for 90 days. Travelers from Australia, Canada, U.S. and Japan, need to profit by the new measures to visit Brazil from June 1st until September 18th 2016. These vacationers can stay without visa for a maximum period of 90 days.

Indian citizens will need to apply and acquire tourist visas to visit Brazil which allows Indian nationals to stay in Brazil for a maximum period of 90 days. On the travel expenditure front, the Brazilian Real to the Indian National Rupee is expected to hover around the Rs. 17-18 mark. Y-Axis suggests that in order to save on extra expenditure, book your travel and stay to Brazil at the earliest as the 2014 World Cup itself brought in more than one million tourists and the numbers this year are expected to bring in more visitors to the country.
