Canada immigration update All draws in March 2021

401,000 are to be welcomed by Canada in 2021. Many of these will be through economic immigration.

In 2021, while 108,500 will find their way into Canada through the federal express Entry system, another 80,800 will take the provincial route, that is, the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP].

Another up to 47,500 are expected to get their Canadian residence in 2021 through the province of Quebec, the only Canadian province that is not a part of the PNP of Canada.

Judging by the total number of Canada immigration hopefuls that have received an invitation to apply so far in 2021, the federal government of Canada is well on its way to meet the ambitious induction target that it had set foritself under the2021-2023 Immigration Levels Plan.

Here, we shall see all the draws – federal and provincial – conducted by Canada in March 2021. ———————————————————————————–

[II] Provincial Draws in March2021

Consisting of a nomination through any of the participating provincial and territorial [PT] governments, the Canadian PNP offers a much sought-after expedited route to Canada immigration.

An individual taking the PNP route to Canada permanent residence would be expected to live within the nominatingprovince/territory on being granted their Canadian permanent residence.

There are nearly 80 immigration pathways available under the PNP, many linked with the federal Express Entry system. An Express Entry candidate that is able to secure a PNP nomination is automatically allotted 600 points towards their ranking score.

This ranking of profiles in the Express Entry pool of candidates is as per the Comprehensive Ranking System [CRS].

As on March 29, 2021, there were 269 profiles with their CRS in the score range of 601 to 1,200. The total number of Express Entry profiles, on the other hand, were 165,476.

Hence, a PNP nomination is a guarantee of that Express Entry candidate being issued an invitation to apply in the next federal draw to be held.

Latest draw by Quebec: January 26, 2021.
