The Canadian Diplomatic and Official Visa offers diplomats and officials from foreign countries to enter Canada. The visit should be strictly on official purpose. The Overseas Immigrants must hold a diplomatic or official passport. However, in the following cases, diplomats and officials do not require the Canadian Diplomatic and Official Visa.
- They hold an old passport that has official acceptance given by the Canadian Government
- They hail from countries, organizations or agencies where Canada is a member
With this Visa, Overseas Immigrants can enter the country without having to go through Immigration check. They will not be allowed to take up any work. - Candidate is a delegate of an organization wherein they are required to attend conferences
- Candidate is a senior officer at a P-4 level
- Candidate is a foreign diplomatic courier
- Candidate is part of a diplomatic agent’s family
Official Visa Qualified Positions:
- Candidate is a consular staff
- Canadian Government has invited the candidate who holds an official passport
- Candidate is an official acting on behalf of an international organization
- Candidate is a member of a diplomatic mission
- Candidate is part of an official’s family
Canadian Diplomatic and Official Visa fees:
Overseas Immigrants will only have to pay for the Visa processing fee. The fee is CAD$100. They are exempt from biometric and passport processing fee.
Forms to be submitted:
Candidates must fill out the following forms:
- Temporary Residence form
- Family information form
Apart from the above forms, they might have to submit additional forms specific to their situations.
