Canadian Employers

The Citizenship and Immigration Canada has come up with some changes in January this year, which will make it easy for skilled migrants to gain a work visa in Canada. This provision is given to applicants in all categories. The major reason behind this, was to make more number of employees available to Canadian employers.

Who are they looking for?

Since the profiles they are looking for, are not available in Canada itself, they are looking for skilled workers from all over the world. This facility has been extended to people belonging to the categories of  Federal Skilled Workers Program, Federal Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program.

The move proved to be beneficial to Canadian employers too as they can take the opportunity to expand their business and reach out to a larger group of people. This will cut down the expenses for them to a great extent and also exempt them from the  Labour Market Impact Assessment fee if they hire applicants for permanent residents.

A quick placement

To ensure quick filling of vacancies in Canada the visa processing will be done within a period of six months. Since this is a point based system, only those applicants with the highest number of points, will be included into the pool. Applicants with a job offer in Canada have greater chances of getting the visa than otherwise.
