Hot jobs aren’t always glamorous, but skilled workers are in demand

People looking for work might do well to consider becoming meat cutters/trimmers or heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers. Those two categories alone represent a projected 1,015 new jobs in Nebraska.

While not the most glamorous jobs available, they are among the hottest jobs available, along with registered nurses and secondary school teachers. “Laborers and freight, stock and material movers, hand” category for leisure and hospitality is projected to jump the most, 19.2 percent.

The list represents the top 10 jobs in various industries, organized by the number of additional workers needed for each job industry from 2013 to 2015, then the percentage of change this number represents.
