Western Canada has greater job opportunities for foreigners who enter the country than other areas within its territory. A statistical survey revealed that people who have lived in Canada for even less than 5 years have great opportunities to be explored by foreign immigrants in Alberta and the Prairies. Coming to higher rates of employment, the highest can be found in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
What does the statistics say?
These are the areas where the new immigrants to Canada are able to find the most number of jobs. The rate of success to finding jobs is as high as 80.2 percent. With regard to this, Alberta stands at 77.8 percent while Quebec stands low at 57.9 and Ontario at a mild low at 63.2 percent. Having stated this, it is interesting to note that Alberta and the Prairies are hiring greater number of foreigners when compared to other Canadian provinces.
The situation in these two provinces in the year 2007 is good evidence of greater job availability in the two western regions. It has been observed, that in 2007 the number of immigrants living there for 10 years or more are getting jobs in these provinces, which is as much as Natural Canadian citizens.
