TOEFL Online Coaching

We are back with a new informative chapter sharing goodies about the TOEFL test. This time we are giving you tips for writing practice as part of TOEFL preparation.

  • Thinking of what is the right material for practicing reading and writing English? You must ideally go for college textbooks, online reading materials, or language books that have follow-up questions after each chapter or story.
  • When you read through stories focus on imbibing the knowledge of sentence structure, grammar, and vocabulary rather than the storyline.
  • It’s important to learn to practice the technique of summarizing content in the TOEFL test. It will help even when you are going to apply the English language at work or on other occasions.
  • Make a list of topics you are interested in writing about. Practice writing on those topics. Then also choose topics fit for debate and giving opinions. Work on those to get a wider range of writing skills.
  • Brainstorm the list of topics you have made. This will improve your thinking and analytical capabilities.
  • Before you write, create an outline to organize your writing process. The outline is a document in which the organized ideas are made to connect logically.
  • Write about the topic chosen in an organized manner with an introduction, body, and conclusion. Keep the content of the story between 300 and 350 words. Clock your time for the essay as 7 to 10 minutes. Use another 5 minutes for review.
  • While reviewing, read through the work patiently giving attention to detail. Correct any mistakes and replace repeated words with synonyms.
  • Get your work corrected by an English speaker for the best results.
