Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) in, Tier 1 (Post-Study Work) out
As of 6 April 2012, Tier 1 (Post-Study Work) will no longer be available. Graduates of UK universities will be able to move into Tier 2 quite easily, however, if they have a job offer from an employer licensed as a Tier 2 sponsor with the UK Border Agency, and are being offered a salary at or above market rate.
New rules for UK Tier 4 and Tier 1 visas for students
The new rules require graduates applying under Tier 2(General) to have an offer of a skilled job at a salary of at least £20,000 (or more in some cases) from a reputable employer accredited by the UK Border Agency in order to continue living and working in the UK.
