Canada is ranked #1 worldwide for the quality of life in 2019 and 2020. The ranking is as per the US News and World Report.
Globalization has led to the expansion of a country’s presence beyond mere physical borders. The Best Countries rankings, currently in its fifth year, seeks to examine the worth of a nation beyond hard metrics.
While Canada secured #2 in the overall rankings, it was ranked the top country in terms of the quality of life offered.
The 2020 Best Countries ranking covers the perception of 73 nations. Each of the countries was scored on different attributes based on a collection of individual survey responses. These attributes were grouped under nine sub-rankings.

As per official statistics with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC], while 341,180 permanent residents were admitted in Canada in 2019, a total of 74,586 individuals transitioned from temporary to permanent residents during the same period.
As per estimates, around 500,000 immigrants working in Canada are trained in STEM fields.
Immigrants account for 33% of all business owners in Canada.

With the announcement of 2021-2023 Immigration Levels Plan, Canada has set for itself one of the highest immigrant targets in Canadian history. For 2022, the Canada permanent residents’ inductions target stands at 411,000. A majority of these will be through economic immigration.
Altogether 111,265 Canada immigration hopefuls have received invitations to apply [ITAs] from IRCC under the Express Entry system in 2021 in the 38 IRCC draws held so far.
