This year, the Department of Tourism (DOT), Philippines is praising the success of the campaign, ‘Visit the Philippines Again’ (VAP). Talking about the significance of the Indian tourism industry, Raymond Glen An Agustin – Chief Tourism Operation Officer, Philippines said that India is an essential source market for the Philippines with 74, 824 Indians going to the destination a year ago, which was a 22.36 percent year-on-year rise. By and large, the Philippines tourism industry hopes to welcome 100,000 Indian vacationers by 2017.

As a major aspect of its exchange engagement movement in the Indian market, DOT is arranging roadshows in Pune and Ahmedabad on February 22 and 24, individually. Following the majority of the bookings are made through travel exchanges. It is essential to travel operators of Indian and Philippine tourism. Their objective (urban) areas are Delhi, Mumbai and urban communities of Hyderabad, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Kolkata, Chennai and Ahmedabad.

The DTO tells us that Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific are updating their fleet to offer non-stop flight associations with the Indian market. VPA 2016 crusade’s point is to drive energy among explorers with the goal that they return to the nation in 2016 for more fun and enterprise and to collect remarkable recollections to esteem.

In the course of the last couple of years, DOT Philippines has been effectively advancing the destination as a popular destination for weddings, extravagance, MICE and group travel. Destinations like Manila, Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, Palawan and Davao have been heavily promoted as of late.

Likewise, DOT Philippines has taken an interest in OTM 2016 in Mumbai and the reaction was overpowering. With the relaxation of the AJACSS UK visa at all global airplane terminals, the Philippines tourism industry is certain to draw in more Indians in 2016.
