The province of Saskatchewan has a programme referred to as The International Skilled Worker- Express Entry Category that accepts applications from skilled workers who plan to live and work in the province.

It is a points-based system, which did not require an approved job offer for a limited number of applicants, unlike many other immigration programmes for Canada.

The progamme is aimed at selecting applicants who have the education, experience, language proficiency, age and adaptability to successfully establish in Saskatchewan and contribute to the province’s prosperity. Applicants must score a minimum of 60 out of a possible 100 points under the above mentioned selection factors to be considered for nomination. However, the quota was reached a week after the programme was launched, which means that although one may still submit an application, a job offer is now required.
