Complainants against Royal Education Consultants, an immigration firm, continue to gather outside its office located near the bus stand alleging fraud worth lakhs by the firm. The immigration firm has been lying shut for the past three days due to the issue.Besides complainants from across the state, today two complainants from Delhi reached the spot and found the office of the firm locked. Some persons addressed the media outside the firm’s office yesterday.

The complainants have been alleging that the immigration firm had promised them work permit in New Zealand and other countries and it had also taken advance from them but had failed to provide them visa. While addressing the media, Subash and Sanjiv, who had come all the way from Delhi to enquire about the visa status of their children alleged: “We both had paid Rs 50,000 each to the owner to arrange a work permit for New Zealand. The deal was struck at Rs 6.50 lakh. We were assured that visa would be provided within three months. Now, the owner has not been taking calls and even the office has also been lying shut for the past three days.”Another victim, Bimla, said they had paid Rs 50,000 in advance to the firm and in return, the firm owner had assured work permit visa for New Zealand within 90 days.“Though the given time has been lapsed, the firm has been lying shut. It has cheated us and we will move a complaint in this regard with the police,” she said.Himashu Gupta, Shubham of Amrit Vihar, alleged that the firm had defrauded them and failed to arrange visa despite taking advance from them. While Ramesh Kumar of Avtar Nagar alleged that he was promised work permit for Poland but nothing happened on ground.

The firm owner, Gagandeep, said: “The firm had not committed any fraud, in fact all complainants were being incited by some miscreants to file fake complaints against the company to defame it.”“We kept the office shut for three days because some miscreants had misbehaved with our female staff and we have now lodged a complaint regarding the same. From tomorrow, our office will be opened and any person having any doubts about his or her file status, can come and enquire about the same. If anyone wants to withdraw his/her case, the firm will also accede to that” he said.
