This work experience also includes the work experience in Canada under a temporary resident visa by having the authorization to work, provided it has to be paid work.

The skilled work experience can be earned through commission or paid wages, but voluntary or unpaid internships are not counted as work experience.

Using the CEC program, 30 hours and more working hours are not counted towards the eligibility requirements. And the applicants need to prove the work they have done comes under the NOC system.

CEC eligibility for Refugee Claimants

The work experience of a foreign national or even self-employment that a full-time student obtains is not counted as one of the minimum requirements for the program. There are no certain rules for educational requirements under CEC.

Apart from these odds, the foreign nationals have chances to boost their rankings in the Express Entry pool for immigration purposes and improve their chances of getting invitations to Apply (ITA) under the Express Entry draw.
