USCIS

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, the US’s immigration agency called USCIS in short has created a new tool for assistance virtually allowing customers to approach the website and information on it easily. This new tool follows the trend of digital immigration becoming the global benchmark of medium use. ‘Emma’ as she is called, speaks in English. Emma is named after Emma Lazarus whose poem, meant for immigrants, is inscribed at the base of the Statue of Liberty.

In addition to this self help tool answering in English, she will also type out answers on default for those without sound. Emma doesn’t speak a government tongue only, but also guide through the website with general English as well as provide immediate answers to all questions about immigration to the US. Emma is a continuous learning tool, any question that she might not be able to answer; she will make herself smarter through the process.

Soon, the self help tool will be implemented in the Spanish USCIS website also. Emma was developed as a tool in response to growing interest in mobile communication and digital communication to enhance customer service. The service also saves time and provides immediate answers to general queries by potential immigration users.

Though now only available in desktop mode, a mobile version is in the works to expand services to hand held devices. Ask a question on the right hand corner of the USCIS government website to talk to Emma. But for really difficult questions on application and documentation procedures, you will be in a better position if you approach reputed immigration consultancies like Y-Axis to enhance your chances.
