Skillathon – A Race to Triumphant Victory

Skills make you efficient but Y-Axis Skillathon makes you proficient. Its aim is to make you proficient in the most essential and desirable language, English.

Competing in a marathon race is not everyone’s cup of tea. One needs to possess distinct personality traits. Winning at Skillathon also requires distinct personality traits. Y-Axis Skillathon helps students discover those desirable traits within them that would help them develop proficiency in the English language. They are trained to come out victorious with flying colors at the competition.

 Trait 1: Focus

Students who are focused do not allow anything to interfere between themselves and their goal. They aspire to be victors, with specific aims and goals. Therefore, they look for opportunities to excel. Skillathon provides a huge door of opportunity. Y-Axis Skillathon is open for registration for such focused students of 3rd and 4th year B. Tech studying at the participating colleges. If you have a goal, Skillathon is the place to achieve that goal.

Trait 2: Be Prepared

One cannot just show up at a marathon race. It requires careful planning and preparation. They should have followed a strict diet and training schedules to be in excellent condition to participate. The students at Skillathon are not left on their own to prepare for the competition. To be in an excellent condition to participate in the competition at Skillathon, students can benefit from the free English skills workshop. This is conducted by the British Council. This workshop ensures that all participating students are prepared and ready. To that end they are given essential training in English language skills to gain victory at the competition.

Trait 3: Stay Motivated

Those who stay motivated don’t stop because of challenges, but stop only when they are done. They are not afraid of losing, but are afraid of “not” trying. All such motivated participating students who want to try, are expected to take up the written qualifying test. This will be conducted in their particular colleges.

Trait 4: Be Brave

Marathon runners are those who have the audacity to stay in the race till the end. Whether they acknowledge it or not, they are some of the bravest people, because a marathon race is one of the toughest challenges. Each runner is celebrated not just for victory but also for his huge efforts. Likewise, the participating students would be putting forth huge efforts to maximize their skill in the English language. Their earnest efforts are celebrated by hosting the competition at a five star hotel. From each college the top 5 students of the qualifying rounds are selected to participate in the Grand Finale.

Triumphant Victory

Since all of the top 5 students have made efforts to participate and develop their skills in English, they are all rewarded. At the Grand Finale the top 5 students are given either a Laptop or a Kindle tab.

What about the 5 qualifying students from participating colleges? They would each be given free access to Y- Axis Live Coaching worth Rs. 20,000. If self-confidence would be an outfit, then Skillathon gives the students an opportunity to wear it, and flaunt it.

Y-Axis Coaching offers Classroom and Live Online classes for GREGMATIELTSPTETOEFL and Spoken English with Extensive Weekday and Weekend Sessions. The modules include   IELTS/PTE One to One 45 min and IELTS/PTE One to One 45 min package of 3 to help aspiring overseas students with the language tests.
