For people employed in Qatar and wanting to bring their family to join them, the government of Qatar has listed out criteria that they should meet.
Before one goes about applying for a visa, the person needs to be drawing salary above certain limit and must have a proper accommodation, where he can house them conveniently.
The Qatar Ministry of Interior (MOI) published a brief set of requirements that people applying for family residency need to be having.
As per Doha News, the following are the mandatory documents you need to have in-person.
1. A valid residence permit is needed for a person in order to apply for a family visa.
2. Applicants need to produce a marriage certificate that authorities have attested – it normally is done at the embassy of Qatar in the applicants’ home country.
3. Proof has to be provided by applicants that housing is amenable for families – by producing the lease agreement.
4. Applicants, who work with a government or a semi-government establishment, need to present an approval letter from their employer which reads out their profession and income.
5. Those who are employed in the private sector must be drawing a monthly salary of at least QR10, 000, or alternately QR7, 000 if accommodation is being provided by the employer.
6. Those employed in the private sector are also required to produce bank statements for six months as income proof from a local bank.
7. Employees of the private sector will need to submit a notarised employment contract along with copies of their educational certificates copies.
In addition, according to government portal of Qatar’s website, Hukoomi, applicants must also submit this typed application form in Arabic, passport copies of the family members who will stay with the applicant, children’s birth certificates copies and a good conduct certificate attested by appropriate authorities in the case of sponsoring adults.
The fee for issuing a visa is QR200 per person.
