So, it will be wise to clear the IELTS exam after your graduation to increase your chances of getting a job in a reputed company abroad.

If permanent residency is your aim of migrating to another country, it becomes all the more necessary to have a certain level of knowledge and ability in the English language. Taking an IELTS examination and getting high scores increases the chance of your profile climbing up in the list during an immigration draw. IELTS General Training Test is your only way to take qualify in non-academic parlance to migrate to USA from India or any other nation. So, what about TOEFL? The TOEFL test is an open-to-all test for candidates who have a basic qualification of 10+2 in India. The test is suitable for candidates who are willing to study at a high-school or higher level.

There are 2 types of TOEFL exams: TOELF-PBT and TOEFL-IBT.

TOEFL-PBT is conducted in a paper & pencil format. It tests language abilities like writing, reading, listening, and grammar skills. This exam is applicable mostly in areas where the internet isn’t available. Nowadays, this exam is being replaced by the TOEFL-IBT which is conducted online. It will also be the primary TOEFL test conducted for international students.

TOEFL scores are recognized by over 9,000 colleges, organizations, and universities. It’s also accepted by participating institutes across 130 nations, including the USA, the UK, Canada, and Australia.
